TBG Scooters
TGB Scooters, officially known as Taiwan Golden Bee Co. Ltd., is a Taiwanese scooter manufacturer founded in 1978 by Chi-Fu Chang. TGB has established a reputation of having a good quality to price ratio due in part to the manufacturing techniques employed by Chi-Fu Chang from his experience operating the Taiwanese division of Vespa.
Today TGB produces a variety of scooters and ATVs ranging from 50 cc to 150 cc in size utilizing either two or four stroke engines. Since all of the scooters and ATVs produced by TGB are certified by either the US or Europe many of their products are intended for the export market. Since 2002, Cobra Powersports, headquartered in Georgia, has been the official distributor for TGB scooters in the USA.
In addition to producing scooters, TGB also manufactures CVT transmissions and engines that are distributed worldwide to a number of key customers including Piaggio, Peugeot, Polaris and others. TGB is both ISO 9001 certified and QS 9000 certified and all of their products are either certified by the EPA/DOT in the USA or EC certified in Europe.
