CF Moto Scooters
CF Moto is a producer of motorcycles, scooters and ATVs that has been manufacturing these vehicles since 1989 in Hangzhou Province, China. Its output is over 600,000 units per year. Although the name CF Moto itself has only been used in Australia since 2010, their scooters have been sold down under for many years, using different badging.
The company produces a motorcycle range that encompasses 150cc, 250cc and 650cc models in both sporting and touring configurations. These bikes offer an abundance of high-tech features at a reasonable price, including halogen headlights, extensive use of LEDs in gauges, signals and taillights, liquid cooling and advanced braking systems. The 250cc V5 is equipped with a very scooter-like fully automatic twist-and-go constant velocity transmission.
CF Moto currently imports one scooter into the Australian market, and it is one of the more innovative offerings available. The JetMax 250 is a full-framed, maxi-class scooter, sized like a motorcycle. This scooter is suitable for both highway trips and daily commutes, with the same electronic fuel injected and water-cooled 250cc motor found in the V5.
It boasts twin LED headlamps, dual front disk brakes, 41mm forks and lots of storage. The styling is quite modern in appearance, and allows plenty of room for the rider to get on board, with no appendages hanging out into traffic. Seating is a dual step style, with an easy chair-like backrest for the front seat. Other design features of note include a standard MP3 player, and large diameter wheels, with wide tires front and rear for easy handling.
